Welcome to the team!

I am proud to be raising money for the organization I care so much about. Family Equality Council, where I work, is a national organization that connects, supports, and represents the one million LGBT parents in this country and the two million children they are raising.

Growing up I always knew I wanted to have a family. But because I'm gay, there was always this nagging, annoying, lingering doubt - would I be actually be able to have the life that I always visioned for myself?

My whole life I've been searching for a way to belong and to be myself. Finally, at 28, I've found the sense of community and belonging that I've been seeking. That's why I work here at Family Equality Council - I want to make the world a better place for families, for my friends, and ultimately for myself as well.

Next year, I'll be marrying my best friend and someday starting a family of my own.

That's why I want to take a next step and start this fundraising team.

What better way to get into shape before my wedding than to raise some much needed funds for a cause I care so much about?
