Current & FOrmer Foster Youth: Share Your Story

Family Equality Council has an urgent need for stories from current and former foster youth. We are interested in hearing from you about the importance of not limiting families for children and youth — regardless of the sexual orientation or gender identity of the parent or youth.

Stories submitted by August 31st will be considered for inclusion in a "friend of the court" brief in a very important federal court case — Fulton v. City of Philadelphia — in which Catholic Social Services claims it has a First Amendment right to reject qualified foster and adoptive parents simply because they are LGBTQ.

If you experienced foster care we want to hear your story. We're particularly interested in hearing from people who believe that children and youth shouldn't be limited in opportunities for families based on sexual orientation or gender identity. Feel free to include any details you're comfortable sharing about challenges you may have experienced in foster care, your own success and the impact foster care had on your life, whether you found permanency or aged out.
When you share your story, we'll also add you to Family Equality Council's email list. We value and protect your personal information, and you may unsubscribe from emails with a single click. More information is contained in our Privacy Policy, linked below.
