State Department: Reverse Discriminatory Citizenship Policy

State-Dept-Petition_1200x628.jpg

In yet another attack on LGBTQ+ families by the Trump Administration, the State Department is refusing to recognize the citizenship rights of some children of married same-sex couples. Some children, conceived using IVF or surrogacy and born overseas to married same-sex parents, are being denied their right to U.S. birthright citizenship. This puts these families’ right to permanently live together in the U.S. at risk.

Tell the State Department to reverse this policy, keep LGBTQ+ families together, and ensure all children born to U.S. citizens have equal access to their birthright U.S. citizenship.
